From Chaos to Calm: A Reminder to Slow Down

Remember Spinning in Circles as a Kid?

You’d twirl around with your arms wide open, laughing until the world blurred and then you collapsed in the grass, staring up at the sky, dizzy… but happy.

It was simple.

It was fun.

It was freedom.

But here’s the thing:
As adults, we often chase that same rush — chaos, movement, multitasking—as if spinning faster will make life more meaningful.

But what if that’s not the answer?

My mom used to say, “Laughing turns to crying.”

And wow... she wasn’t wrong. All that playful chaos with my siblings usually ended with someone crying or someone yelling. The joy we felt when we were laughing and playing was something we wanted to hold onto for as long as possible. However, stretching too far almost always lead to a snap.

We live in a world that rewards hustle and praises those who “do it all.”
But does checking off a to-do list really leave you feeling fulfilled?

Or just… drained?

Here’s what I’m learning:
It’s not about how much you can juggle. It’s about knowing your limits, finding your rhythm, and savoring the moments that actually matter.

I want to live with more intention—not just productivity.
I want to feel full, not just busy.
